Joy

Dear Friends,
I wish you all the most happy, peaceful and blessed Christmas.
I have the immense joy to be with dear friends in the states. They have opened their house and hearts for me, embraced me with the warmest welcome and make me feel at ease so far away from home for this holy time of the year.

I feel blessed in many ways and I have reason to give thanks for a lot of things.

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christa the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” - Luke 2, 8-12

I hope you are also a little shocked with me and the shepherds while trying to understand the miracle from two thousand years ago. ;-) I mean shocked in the best way possible.

Liebe Freunde,

Ich wünsche euch allen die fröhlichsten, friedlichsten und gesegnetesten Weihnachten.
Ich darf dieses Jahr die überaus große Freude haben, die Feiertage mit Freunden, in den Staaten zu verbringen. Sie haben ihr Haus und ihre Herzen für mich geöffnet, mich warm empfangen und ich fühl mich wohl, auch wenn ich so weit weg von daheim bin. Ich fühle mich gesegnet und habe viele Gründe dankbar zu sein.


8 Und es waren Hirten in derselben Gegend auf dem Felde bei den Hürden, die hüteten des Nachts ihre Herde. 9 Und siehe, des HERRN Engel trat zu ihnen, und die Klarheit des HERRN leuchtete um sie; und sie fürchteten sich sehr. 10 Und der Engel sprach zu ihnen: Fürchtet euch nicht! siehe, ich verkündige euch große Freude, die allem Volk widerfahren wird; 11 denn euch ist heute der Heiland geboren, welcher ist Christus, der HERR, in der Stadt Davids. 12 Und das habt zum Zeichen: ihr werdet finden das Kind in Windeln gewickelt und in einer Krippe liegen. – Lukas 8-12

Ich hoffe ihr seid ein wenig mit mir über die große Wahrheit von vor zweitausend Jahren erschrocken und könnt euch auf die Ereignisse besinnen. ;-) Im best möglichen Sinne.
